Spotted in the Soo: Factoryscape 2

My friend Kenneth Armstrong spotted one of my old lino-block prints hanging at a coffee shop in Sault St Marie, Ontario. Kenneth moved there from Toronto a few years ago, and although we see him from time to time (at the hoops draft and the odd 16mm film night at Drake Conrad's), we all miss his cherubic face. Thankfully, we can follow his brilliant photography on Flickr - and soon www.kennetharmstrong.ca.

Kenneth says this coffee shop is about to close. Wonder where the art will end up.

A Convergence of Awesomeness, or "What's a Train in Love Supposed To do?"

Two of my favourite things crossed over on this $5 record I picked up yesterday. Thomas the Tank Engine appeared on this 1986 Erasure 12" single for Erasure's debut single "Oh L'Amour" - albeit briefly. Apparently Thomas appeared without proper licensing, and the sleeves were pulled from the shelves shortly after release (ka-ching).

I'm thinking this will look good in the baby room.
